Well when you are 200 pounds overweight, a chain smoker, and eat at McDonald's regularly, you aren't going to live very long. What is even more sad is that Roger rejected Christ about a year before he died and became a mocker of God and the Bible. So in having a poor life he now gets to endure a poor afterlife.
