I wonder if a cat finds those clusters of notes dissonant in the way that a human ear often does. I guess we'll never know the answer to that one.

Holy shit this is so fucking brilliant.

By the way - I had to cut the link out cause it doesn't seem to like it. If you want to see what I said on our Art Blog then you will have to check out our profile - the address is there.

Hey - just thought I'd say this is HOT HOT HOT. I blogged about it here cause I fucking love it (scroll down - its near the bottom now). Anyway - this is a stunning work with a lot of depth - and it makes me laugh!!!!!!!!! Great stuff. Funny thing is, I assumed you were unknown (cause I chanced upon this totally by accident) and then, after doing some research, realized that you are VERY well known now. How does it feel to be canonized man?? Is it weird?? Love Dick Whyte (HOTLINKS)

@lemoneater88 in fact, Schoenberg's Op. 11 is not 12 tone. it's free atonality.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA H I can't believe this holy lmfaoooooooooooooo

It sounds the same... Cool...it's very good... In composition class, yesterday, I analised that piece... xD It's really the same xD 5 stars xD

GOOD!!!

Maybe the original music was also composed this way? I believe Schoenberg was cat-holic in his preferences.

What kind of moron posts this drivel. One of the most pioneering minds of the 20th century gets such abusive treatment. Perhaps you should stick to your Ass...I mean Glass recordings.

ahahhahahahhahaha i love 12 tone and this is fucking cool

i think this is wonderful and i agree with PitTrout. i know more about Arcangel's work than Schoenberg. i do not find this the least bit disrespectful of the composer. i can't stop thinking about the work it took to find, arrange and piece all of those clips together in the right order. i think it's more in the spirit of Schoenberg than some music snobs might be willing to admit.

how to turn a modern piece to post-modern

Yhis great cory :)

I don't know about coryarcangel, but I for one love (much of) Schoenberg's music and also love this video! You can appreciate a piece of music and still enjoy making a joke of it.

it´s sad to see incomprehension, lack of perception and respect to the work of such an artist and composer. this posture is not new or original, and completely sterile.

If CBC Radio talks about this, they are really wasting air time.

haha, excellent

CBC radio was JUST talking about this video and I had to see it for myself. Hahahaha! You're famous!

Magnificent! And, you know, on the third time around it actually starts to sound quite tuneful...:-)

Amazing idea! Rhythmically hopeless...

play me off, schoenberg cats!

1:48 is my fav.

Brilliant work ... on par w/ the 8-bit Construction Set, dare I say. ;-)

Finally!
